Ivorian wax artist and designer Dhassyv Kouao transforms wax into objects of art, light, and emotion.

A former Human Resources manager and professional development coach, she discovered artistic creation during a life-altering ordeal. In 2022, while battling breast cancer, the imposed time paradoxically became a space of freedom and rebirth. Between treatments, she drew, explored ceramics, and discovered the world of wax.

Trained as a wax maker in the south of France, she then returned to Abidjan and created Margo, a brand named after her mother.

For Dhassyv, Margo is a story of transmission and light: the light she received from her mother, the light she rediscovered in the midst of her ordeal, and the light she now wishes to share through her creations.

And because light takes on its full meaning when it is shared, Margo is also a solidarity adventure: part of the income from its creations is intended to support people affected by cancer.
